Saving Dedicated Lanes After a Carrier Ghosted
Paschall Truck Lines (PTL) saved a customer’s dedicated lanes after the customer’s original dedicated shipper ghosted them without any prior notice. The customer had shipments scheduled to go out for shipping in the morning. The customer was faced with having to find a new carrier by morning or face a logistics crisis.
PTL jumped into high gear and tag teamed with their Customer Service and Operations departments to find drivers for the customer’s dedicated lanes. Through rapid response, strategic planning and expert execution, PTL was able to secure the customer’s dedicated lanes. PTL’s extensive capacity and experience prevented a spot market scramble, fallouts, cost surges, a damaged reputation and contract vulnerabilities.
Once the shipping crisis was successfully averted, the customer’s company leaders unanimously voted that PTL should be the carrier that takes over their shipping and transportation needs.
PTL’s team visited all of the customer’s shipping sites and held meetings with their personnel to understand their current process and iron out any inefficiencies. PTL created a shipping plan for the customer that allows for backup capacity (asset and non-asset shipping options) to avoid any future crisis.
Not only did PTL act as a safety net for this customer, but gave them future reassurance, trust and stability.
